It’s that time of year. The holiday season is winding down while people start thinking about the year ahead. New Year’s resolutions, goals, plans, a fresh start. Too often we are so focused on what we don’t have, haven’t done, haven’t accomplished yet, that we rarely sit back and reflect upon all of the awesomeness we’ve created so far; and I, my friends, am no exception.
As a business owner, I’m constantly looking ahead. What can I do better? How can I continue to make my clients happy? How can I improve and set myself apart in an industry in which someone receives a fancy camera one day, and starts their business the next?
Goals and plans are important, and I definitely have them. I look forward to hitting the ground running in 2016, but today, I choose to focus on my most amazing business year to date. 2015 was… amazing. The weddings I shot and clients I’ve met, most of who have become my friends, make me feel blessed beyond measure. The love and support I’ve received from not only my own family and friends but my clients, other photographers, and social media followers, has exceeded any and all of my expectations.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to my wonderful husband and children that spent almost every Saturday alone while I was living my dream. To my amazing clients, that not only trusted me to capture one of the most important days of their lives but shared their joy that my work has brought them. To all of you that have “liked” my work on social media, referred my name to a friend, left a comment or two, or just simply followed my work… thank you. You have helped make this year a beautiful one.
Dear 2016, I’m ready for you, and I am so excited for what’s to come.
2015, in no particular order… <3
