I’m giddy when I meet clients that feel the same way I do about Detroit. That’s Corrissa and Michael. They’ve lived in the city for years now and we all share a love of “The D.” A few weeks ago, I shot their engagement session on a chilly November morning starting along the Detroit Riverwalk and ending at the Dequindre Cut.
They incorporated three things that were important to them within their session; our awesome city, music, and photography. They’re amateur photographers themselves, and Michael has a pretty impressive vintage camera collection. I love when my clients showcase their interests and personalities within their sessions. It makes for such a personal shoot, and I love getting to know them that much more.
Congratulations you two! I had a wonderful time spending the morning together listening to Jason Mraz and hearing Michael strum the guitar, all while discovering new spectacular places to shoot. I’m so excited to photograph your wedding this June on beautiful Belle Isle!
Of all the murals, this is Corissa’s favorite. She was on the team that installed this chalkboard mural over a year ago!
And Michael’s favorite… “We are Detroit”.
