When Devon and Deema’s Waterview Loft Detroit Summer Wedding day arrived, it was nothing short of extraordinary—a vibrant, lively, and romantic celebration that reflected their love perfectly. From their heartfelt ceremony at Lutheran Church of the Master in Troy to the high-energy reception at the Waterview Loft in Detroit, every moment was filled with joy and excitement.

A Joyous Start to the Day

The festivities began with a pre-ceremony celebration steeped in Deema’s Chaldean culture. Surrounded by her closest family and friends at her parents’ home, Deema was celebrated with dancing, music, and laughter. Photographing this lively tradition was such a privilege—it was the perfect way to kick off their day!

A Heartfelt Ceremony

Devon and Deema exchanged vows during a touching ceremony at Lutheran Church of the Master in Troy. The church’s serene atmosphere was the ideal setting for their union, filled with meaningful moments and the love of their closest family and friends.

Portraits in the Heart of Detroit

Following the ceremony, we headed to the iconic Detroit Main Library for portraits. The historic architecture created a stunning backdrop for capturing their love, their laughter, and those timeless moments shared with their bridal party. Devon and Deema’s ease in front of the camera and their clear joy made these photos a dream to capture.

A Reception to Remember at Waterview Loft

As we arrived at the Waterview Loft in Detroit for their reception, the excitement was palpable. The venue, with its modern elegance and breathtaking views of the Detroit River, was the perfect setting for their vibrant celebration.

Devon and Deema’s vision for their decor came to life with the help of Emerald City Designs. Bright colors and disco balls filled the space, creating a fun and celebratory atmosphere that set the tone for the night. The couple made a grand entrance onto the dance floor, and from that moment, the party didn’t stop.

Dancing the Night Away

From their first dance to the nonstop celebration that followed, dancing was the heart of this wedding. DJ Abe Matta kept the energy high all evening, and their family and friends didn’t miss a beat. I’ve photographed many weddings, but this one stands out as one of the most lively and joyous celebrations I’ve ever captured.

The way their loved ones encircled Devon and Deema on the dance floor, sharing in their happiness, was unforgettable. It was a true testament to how deeply these two are loved by those around them.
