A Beautiful Venue and a Love Story to Remember

The Midland Country Club in Midland, MI, served as both the ceremony and reception venue for Lexi and Christopher’s wedding, providing a stunning backdrop with its lush landscapes and elegant interiors. The venue held special significance as Lexi works there, making every moment even more meaningful. Lexi and Christopher’s journey began at work, where their professional paths crossed and their personal connection flourished. From the start, it was clear that their love story was one for the ages. Lexi’s excitement to work with me was infectious, and their laid-back yet joyful approach to their wedding day perfectly mirrored their personalities, making the entire event a pleasure to photograph.

Getting Ready

I arrived at the Midland Country Club ready to capture the detailed preparations that make wedding days so special. The bridal suite was buzzing with activity as Lexi and her bridesmaids got ready. Lexi’s dress was a showstopper, and the men looked dapper in their attire.

First Look + Portraits

It was a stunningly beautiful day at the Midland Country Club, with the sun shining brilliantly against the sparkling snow. The first look was an intimate moment framed by the breathtaking stone architecture. Lexi and Christopher’s anticipation transformed into pure joy the moment they saw each other. All their nerves melted away, replaced by laughter and tears of happiness, perfectly capturing their deep connection. The day continued with tender bridal party portraits and enchanting bride and groom portraits around the picturesque grounds, each moment more magical than the last.

The Ceremony

The indoor ceremony was a vision of heartfelt vows and loving glances, all under the beautiful floral arch that Lexi and her mother lovingly crafted. As the couple exchanged rings, surrounded by their closest family and friends, the energy was brimming with happiness. The gorgeous sunlight reflected off the snow outside, filling the room with a romantic, golden light that made every moment feel even more magical.

The Reception

Oh, the reception was absolutely enchanting! The grand entrance was filled with cheers and excitement, followed by heartfelt first dances that left everyone misty-eyed. The evening continued with moving speeches and toasts, a delectable dinner, and, of course, the highly anticipated dessert bar. Every moment was a perfect blend of joy and celebration.

Golden Hour Portraits

One of my favorite moments was stealing Lexi and Christopher away for a few quiet minutes as the sun set beyond the horizon. We ventured just outside the reception space, surrounded by the snowy landscape of the country club grounds. The golden hour light was so romantic, illuminating the snow and creating a magical backdrop for their portraits. It was a beautiful, intimate moment that allowed them to soak in the day together before the real party began. Such a fun and cherished time!

Dancing the Night Away

The dance floor was packed all night. From the grandparent dance to the anniversary dance, every moment was filled with joy and celebration. The evening wrapped up with a lively dance floor that showcased the couple’s fun-loving spirit.
