Last weekend, my super awesome friend Jamie of Gingersnapography invited me along for some “playtography” with her and two of her amazing clients for an epic “Trash the Dress” session celebrating their 5 year wedding anniversary. Jamie’s creative vision set the scene for some of my very favorite couples images I’ve ever photographed. We started our session at Kensington Metro park with dramatic skies, luscious trees, and a flowing river to set the stage.
We then headed to Matthaei Botanical Gardens in Ann Arbor, just before sunset, for the “Trash the Dress” portion of our session. Jamie supplied the color chalk, and fun instantly ensued.
I LOVE creatively themed sessions and was so happy I was there to shoot that day! I can’t wait to put some of my creative ideas into fruition this summer for all of my upcoming engagement sessions! A special thanks to Jamie, and her clients Josh and Alex, for having me along. Working collaboratively with other photographers is one of my favorite things to do and I look forward to shooting with her again! Want to book your very own themed love shoot? I’m IN!
